Common Name: Indian Toothcup

Rotala indica 'Bonsai' is best described as a compact, moderate growing version of Bacopa caroliniana. It is labeled as Ammania sp. 'Bonsai' and Rotala sp. 'Bonsai' as the trade names, but its flowers have helped identify it correctly as R. indica. Rotala 'Bonsai' is particularly suitable for nano-aquariums.

  • This plant is grown in-vitro and is kept in a nutrient medium. Gently remove plant from the cup and rinse in a container of aquarium water to remove access medium. Seperate into portions and plant into soil with aquascaping tweezers.

Plant it in small groups and trim it often. Cuttings may be re-planted in the group to achieve a more dense group or carpet.
At high light the tip of the stems may become reddish, at lower light the leaves will become larger and the plant less compact. This is a medium category plant and thus medium to high lighting and CO2 is recomended for best results.

DO NOT RELEASE PLANTS AND LIVESTOCK INTO LOCAL WATERWAYS!
