Common Name: Petch's water trumpet

Cryptocoryne beckettii 'Petchii' is a small variety of Cryptocoryne beckettii from Sri Lanka, which has beautiful, slightly fluted leaf margins, 10-15 cm long. Leaves become dark olive-brown with violet underside. Like many other Cryptocorynes, the leaf colour and shape depends largely on environmental conditions in the aquarium. A fairly easy to maintain plant that will bring some texture to your midground area of your aquascape!

  • Remove the plant from the pot and remove the rock wool and rinse in water. Remove any dead leaves. Using aquascaping tweezers, plant in substrate. This plant will do well in low light and CO2 levels although higher levels of both will result in a more robust and healthy plant.
