Common Name: N/A

Recent changed from being known as 'Wavy Green'. Named after the place it is found in West Kalimantan. In nature, Bucephalandra usually grows on rocks or wood in rivers and streams - much like Anubias, which they resemble regarding use and care in the aquarium. A nice, dense appearance is ensured by the willingness to branch, even without trimming. The green leaves are 2 cm wide and 5 cm long with wavy edges. Tiny white spots will appear on immerse leaves. A great and easy accent plant fo any aquascape!

  • Remove the plant and rock wool out of the pot and remove the rock wool and rinse in water. Remove any dead or damaged leaves. Bucephalandra sp. can be planted by attaching to rock or wood with string/fishing line or super glue. They can also be planted in the substrate but the rhizome, from which leaves and roots appear, must not be covered. If it is, the whole plant will rot and die. Low light and low to zero CO2 will be ok for this plant. If the plant is shaded the leaves and plant in general wont grow as large.

DO NOT RELEASE PLANTS AND LIVESTOCK INTO LOCAL WATERWAYS.
