Common Name: Pygmy Chain Sword 'Green'
Previously named Echinodorus tenellus 'Green'.
This small rosulate plant will easily make a 5-10 cm high carpet when the light is good and the bottom layer nutritious. Even at an intense light level this variety remains fresh green unlike the usual, more reddish, Helanthium tenellum.
An easy and quite undemanding foreground plant.
Helanthium tenellum 'Green'
This plant is grown in vitro and is kept in a nutrient medium. Gently remove the plant and rinse in aquarium water to remove any medium. Seperate into portions and plant into soil with aquascaping tweezers.
Although this plant is in the easy category it does very well in good lighting and a nutrient rich substrate. The plant will send out runners which can be cut and replanted.
DO NOT RELEASE ANY PLANTS OR LIVESTOCK INTO LOCAL WATERWAYS!
