Common Name: Giant Red Rotala

Found in parts of Asia, Rotala macrandra ‘Japan’ is a magnificent aquarium stem plant, but unfortunately, it is very demanding. This variant is a little easier to grow and develops better coloration. This plant is a good background plant growing up to 20-30+ cm.

  • This plant is grown in-vitro and is kept in a nutrient medium. Gently remove plant from the cup and rinse in a container of aquarium water to remove access medium. Seperate into portions and plant into soil with aquascaping tweezers.

It needs very good light to develop its beautiful red shades, just like CO2 addition and soft water are vital to ensure optimal growth.
Cut the longest stems 5-10 cm from the ground and replant them in the group.

DO NOT RELEASE ANY PLANTS OR LIVESTOCK INTO LOCAL WATERWAYS!

I recommend this product.

This is my favorite in-tank ceramic diffuser. It's low profile, so easy to hide behind some plants, and best of all, it has replaceable ceramic discs so you can keep some clean ones in rotation!

Talking tools, these are important if you use them alot if not then not so much. These tropica tweezers are super nice having a really nice overall feel. Nice and light with upper knurling to keep your hands right where you want them when damp. They also have super positive teeth for gripping your plants when planting to avoid them slipping out constantly and regrabbing and damaging them. So absolutely no more square dull uncomfortable pinsets for this guy!

Noticed my crypt undulata red were not doing well so added one of these into the soil and really made them grow!
